What is involved in taking Business GCSE?
Business GCSE is exam based - there is no coursework element. The course is taught through case studies, guest speakers, role plays, group work, and classroom based discussion. You will be considering questions such as why do large companies sell shares on the stock exchange? What makes one company buy a competitor? What was the most successful UK marketing campaign of all time and why? Why does the government make loads to small businesses?
How is the course structured and what exam board do we use?
The exam board that we use is AQA.
What skills do I need to be successful in the subject?
Skills required include the ability to learn and apply business terms to case studies, good organisation ability, the ability to create structured, logical and extended responses, an enjoyment of Maths, problem solving skills and an interest in watching business programmes on TV.
How will this help me prepare for my future?
This course will help you for studying A level Business. Following A levels you can take a degree in Business, Management, Economics, Law or Accountancy or any other social science course.
